VIP 기도를 어떻게 하면 좋을까에 대한 팁 – 김영주 목사

다 아시는 것처럼 교회의 존재 이유는 영혼 구원하여 제자 삼는 것입니다. 이 일을 감당하려면 가장 우선적으로 해야 할 일은 VIP를 위한 기도입니다. VIP가 안 오면 목장을 할 수 없고, VIP가 안 오면 영혼 구원 + 제자 삼는 것이 불가합니다. 그래서 VIP 기도를 전략적으로 해야 합니다. 제가 하고 있는 것을 정리해 봤습니다.

• 전 교인이 VIP 명단 1인당 5명 이상 써냅니다.
• VIP를 정할 때는 주변의 아무 비신자나 써내지 말고(가족, 친구, 친척 x), 내 주변에서 지금 하나님이 필요한 사람, 하나님이 아니면 삶이 어려운 사람을 찾아야 합니다.
• 이렇게 5명 이상씩 써놓고 끈기 있고, 전략적으로 기도해야 합니다.

(1) 4중 기도가 필요합니다.
① 목원 – 자기 VIP 5명 이상 놓고 기도
② 목자 – 목장 전체 VIP 명단 놓고 기도(목장 인원이 6명이면 65=30명을 위해 기도) 또는 이 중에서 우리 목장의 VIP 5명을 선정해서 꾸준히 기도(목원의 VIP 5명 중 가장 먼저 목장에 나올 것 사람 한 명을 정해 목장의 VIP로 만든다)
③ 조장(초원지기) – 자기 초원에 속한 전체 VIPs 놓고 기도하기(예, 한 목장 당 총 VIP 인원이 30이고, 목장이 5개일 경우, 305=150명)
④ 담임목사 – 전 교인의 VIP 놓고 기도하기(전 교인이 300명이면 *5=1500명 / 이 인원을 하루에 기도하지 않고 요일별로 돌아가면서 꾸준히 기도합니다)

∴ 이렇게 하면 4중 기도의 지원을 받습니다. 이렇게 기도하면 설령 내가 기도하지 못해도 다른 사람들이 계속 기도하게 됩니다. 이 기도가 응답되어 VIP가 옵니다.

(2) 수시로 VIP를 위해 기도해야 합니다.
① 주일 예배 때, 간증 후 VIPs를 위한 기도(2~3분)
② 개인 기도 때 VIPs를 위한 기도
③ 목장 모임 때 VIPs를 위한 기도
④ 초원(조장) 모임 때 VIPs를 위한 기도
⑤ 새벽에 개인 기도 때 VIPs를 위한 기도를 해야 합니다.

이렇게 기도하기 시작하면 전 교인이 자연스럽게 VIPs를 중심으로 생각이 바뀌게 됩니다. 가랑비에 옷 젖듯이 VIP 중심으로 생각이 바뀝니다.

(3) VIP를 위한 기도 내용(참고용)

우리가 VIP를 위해 기도하는 동안 그들을 섬길 기회가 열어지게 해 주셔서 여기저기서 자주 만나게 해 주세요. 우리가 찾아가 섬길 때 그들의 필요가 잘 보이게 해 주시고, 그들의 마음이 열려 기독교, 교회, 하나님, 믿는 자들에 대한 편견, 오해, 선입견이 사라지게 해 주세요. 그들을 붙들고 있는 어둠의 영이 예수 이름으로 떠나게 해 주세요. 우리를 만날수록 좋아하게 해 주셔서 목장 초대에 응하게 하시고, 나도 믿어 볼까? 하는 마음이 생기게 해 주세요. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘!

(4) 목원들에게 설득하는 방법
① 우리가 기도한다고 해서 꼭 기도한 VIP가 오는 것은 아닙니다. 안 올 수도 있습니다. 그러나 우리가 VIP를 위해 기도하고 있으면 우리 기도를 듣고 하나님께서 다른 사람이라도 보내주시기 때문에 기도해야 합니다. VIP가 없다고 기도조차 하지 않으면 하나님이 VIP를 보내주지 않습니다.
② 기도는 심고 거두는 법칙과 같습니다. 심고 거두는 원리는 자연법칙인데 기도도 그렇습니다. 힘들 때, 어려울 때, VIP가 안 올 때 VIP를 위한 기도를 심어야 합니다. 이렇게 심어 놓아야 때가 되면 거두게 됩니다.
③ 지금이 바로 기도를 심을 때입니다. – 목장이 안 되고, VIP가 없고, VIP가 안 오고, 목장이 침체되었을 때 기도를 심어야 합니다. 지금 여기서 기도하면 바로 거두지 못한다 해도 차츰차츰 거두게 됩니다. 우리의 기도를 들으시는 분이 하나님이시고, 우리의 기도는 하나도 땅에 떨어지지 않기 때문입니다. 주님이 원하시는 교회를 하려면 이 VIP 명단 확보, VIP를 위한 기도는 양보할 수 없습니다.

As we all know, the purpose of the church is to save souls and make disciples. In order to fulfill this mission, the most important priority is to pray for VIPs. Without VIPs coming, small groups cannot function, and without VIPs, it is impossible to carry out soul salvation and discipleship. Therefore, we must pray for VIPs strategically. I’ve summarized what I’ve been doing.

• Every church member writes down at least five VIPs.
• When selecting VIPs, do not simply list any non-believers around you (not family, friends, or relatives). Instead, identify people in your life who truly need God right now—those whose lives are difficult without Him.
• After listing at least five people, pray for them persistently and strategically.

(1) Fourfold Prayer is Needed
① Members – Pray for your own five or more VIPs
② Small Group Leader – Pray for all VIPs in the group (e.g., if there are 6 members: 6 × 5 = 30 VIPs), or select 5 key VIPs for focused prayer (choose one VIP from each member who is most likely to come first)
③ Zone Leader – Pray for all VIPs within the zone (e.g., if each group has 30 VIPs and there are 5 groups: 30 × 5 = 150 VIPs)
④ Senior Pastor – Pray for all VIPs in the church (e.g., 300 members × 5 = 1,500 VIPs; not all in one day, but distributed throughout the week)

∴ In this way, every VIP receives four layers of prayer support. Even if one person forgets to pray, others continue praying. Through this, prayers are answered and VIPs come.

(2) Pray for VIPs Frequently
① During Sunday service (2–3 minutes after testimonies)
② During personal prayer time
③ During small group meetings
④ During zone leader meetings
⑤ During early morning personal prayer

When this becomes a habit, the entire church naturally shifts to a VIP-centered mindset. Like a gentle rain soaking clothes, our thinking gradually becomes centered on VIPs.

(3) Sample Prayer for VIPs

“Lord, as we pray for our VIPs, please open opportunities for us to serve them and allow us to meet them often. When we go to serve them, help us clearly see their needs. Open their hearts so that any prejudice, misunderstanding, or bias toward Christianity, the church, God, or believers may be removed. In the name of Jesus, drive away any darkness holding onto them. May they grow to like us more as they meet us, respond to invitations to our small group, and begin to think, ‘Maybe I should believe too.’ In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.”

(4) How to Encourage Members
① Just because we pray does not mean that the specific VIP we prayed for will come. They may not come. However, when we pray, God may send someone else in response. If we don’t pray at all, God will not send VIPs.
② Prayer follows the principle of sowing and reaping. Just like a natural law, we must sow prayer—especially when things are difficult, when VIPs are not coming, and when the group feels stagnant. When the time comes, we will reap what we have sown.
③ Now is the time to sow prayer. When the group is struggling, when there are no VIPs, or when nothing seems to be happening, that is precisely when we must pray. Even if we do not see immediate results, we will gradually reap the harvest. God hears every prayer, and none of our prayers fall to the ground.

To build the church that the Lord desires, securing a VIP list and praying for them is not optional—it is essential.
