2020.06.21 – 벧전3:1-7 / 가정 가꾸기

1] 아내가 된 이 여러분, 이와 같이 여러분은 자기 남편에게 순복하십시오. 그리하면 비록 말씀에 복종하지 않는 남편일지라도, 말을 하지 않고도 아내 여러분의 행실로 말미암아 구원을 얻게 될 것입니다.

Wives, in the same way be submissive to your husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives,

2] 그들이 여러분의 경건하고 순결한 행실을 보고 그렇게 될 것입니다.

when they see the purity and reverence of your lives.

3] 여러분은 머리를 꾸미며 금붙이를 달거나 옷을 차려 입거나 하여 겉치장을 하지 말고,

Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes.

4] 썩지 않는 온유하고 정숙한 마음으로 속 사람을 단장하도록 하십시오. 그것이 하나님께서 보시기에 값진 것입니다.

Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.

5] 전에 하나님께 소망을 두고 살던 거룩한 여자들도 이와 같이 자기를 단장하고, 자기 남편에게 순복하였습니다.

For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to make themselves beautiful. They were submissive to their own husbands,

6] 사라가 아브라함을 주인이라고 부르면서 그에게 순종하던 것과 같습니다. 여러분은 선을 행하고, 아무리 무서운 일도 두려워하지 않으니, 사라의 딸이 된 것입니다.

like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her master. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear.

7] 남편이 된 이 여러분, 이와 같이 여러분도 아내가 여성으로서 자기보다 연약한 그릇임을 이해하고 함께 살아야 합니다. 그리고 생명의 은혜를 함께 상속받을 사람으로 알고 존중하십시오. 그리해야 여러분의 기도가 막히지 않을 것입니다.

Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.
