2] When John heard in prison what Christ was doing, he sent his disciples

그런데 요한은, 그리스도께서 하신 일들을 감옥에서 전해 듣고, 자기의 제자들을 예수께 보내어,

3] to ask him, “Are you the one who was to come, or should we expect someone else?”

물어 보게 하였다. “오실 그분이 당신이십니까? 그렇지 않으면, 우리가 다른 분을 기다려야 합니까?”

4] Jesus replied, “Go back and report to John what you hear and see:

예수께서 그들에게 대답하셨다. “가서, 너희가 듣고 본 것을 요한에게 알려라.

5] The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosyare cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor.

눈 먼 사람이 보고, 다리 저는 사람이 걸으며, 나병 환자가 깨끗하게 되며, 듣지 못하는 사람이 들으며, 죽은 사람이 살아나며, 가난한 사람이 복음을 듣는다.

6] Blessed is the man who does not fall away on account of me.”

나에게 걸려 넘어지지 않는 사람은 복이 있다.”
