[4]이스라엘은 들으십시오. 주님은 우리의 하나님이시요, 주님은 오직 한 분뿐이십니다.
[4] Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.
[5]당신들은 마음을 다하고 뜻을 다하고 힘을 다하여, 주 당신들의 하나님을 사랑하십시오.
[5] Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
[6] 내가 오늘 당신들에게 명하는 이 말씀을 마음에 새기고,
[6] These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.
[7] 자녀에게 부지런히 가르치며, 집에 앉아 있을 때나 길을 갈 때나, 누워 있을 때나 일어나 있을 때나, 언제든지 가르치십시오. 
[7] Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
[8] 또 당신들은 그것을 손에 매어 표로 삼고, 이마에 붙여 기호로 삼으십시오.
[8] Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.
[9] 집 문설주와 대문에도 써서 붙이십시오.”
[9] Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
