2026.07.19 [설교/Sermon] [요한복음/John 3:1-15] 드디어 니고데모가 그리스도를 만나다 – 김선경 목사

[1] 바리새파 사람 가운데 니고데모라는 사람이 있었다. 그는 유대 사람의 한 지도자였다.
[1] Now there was a Pharisee, a man named Nicodemus who was a member of the Jewish ruling council.
[2] 이 사람이 밤에 예수께 와서 말하였다. “랍비님, 우리는, 선생님이 하나님께로부터 오신 분임을 압니다. 하나님께서 함께 하지 않으시면, 선생님께서 행하시는 그런 표징들을, 아무도 행할 수 없습니다.”
[2] He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him.”
[3] 예수께서 그에게 말씀하셨다. “내가 진정으로 진정으로 너에게 말한다. 누구든지 다시 나지 않으면, 하나님 나라를 볼 수 없다.”
[3] Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”
[4] 니고데모가 예수께 말하였다. “사람이 늙었는데, 그가 어떻게 태어날 수 있겠습니까? 어머니 뱃속에 다시 들어갔다가 태어날 수야 없지 않습니까?”
[4] “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!”
[5] 예수께서 대답하셨다. “내가 진정으로 너에게 말한다. 누구든지 물과 성령으로 나지 아니하면, 하나님 나라에 들어갈 수 없다.
[5] Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.
[6] 육에서 난 것은 육이요, 영에서 난 것은 영이다.
[6] Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit[b] gives birth to spirit.
[7] 너희가 다시 태어나야 한다고 내가 말한 것을, 너는 이상히 여기지 말아라.
[7] You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’
[8] 바람은 불고 싶은 대로 분다. 너는 그 소리는 듣지만, 어디에서 와서 어디로 가는지는 모른다. 성령으로 태어난 사람은 다 이와 같다.”
[8] The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”
[9] 니고데모가 예수께 물었다. “어떻게 이런 일이 있을 수 있습니까?”
[9] “How can this be?” Nicodemus asked.
[10] 예수께서 대답하셨다. “너는 이스라엘의 선생이면서, 이런 것도 알지 못하느냐?”
[10] “You are Israel’s teacher,” said Jesus, “and do you not understand these things?
[11] 내가 진정으로 진정으로 너에게 말한다. 우리는, 우리가 아는 것을 말하고, 우리가 본 것을 증언하는데, 너희는 우리의 증언을 받아들이지 않는다.
[11] Very truly I tell you, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony.
[12] 내가 땅의 일을 말하여도 너희가 믿지 않거든, 하물며 하늘의 일을 말하면 어떻게 믿겠느냐?
[12] I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things?
[13] 하늘에서 내려온 이 곧 인자 밖에는 하늘로 올라간 이가 없다.
[13] No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man.
[14] 모세가 광야에서 뱀을 든 것 같이, 인자도 들려야 한다. 
[14] Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,
[15] 그것은 그를 믿는 사람마다 영생을 얻게 하려는 것이다. 
[15] that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.”
